The body is super strong and i remember that someone had a trailer truck roll over his or her car, and the car kept intact and protected passengers and driver. An acquaintance just related that while driving his lexus ls400, he wast-boned by a truck and walked away safely. I want to drive a car that protects its owner! Speaking of protection, this particular model has the most layers of paint and substructure in the industry. Car starts on the first turn of the key, effortlessly. So much more road feel. Remarkably on my trips back and forth, the newer ls actually were able to accomplish a 32 mpg verified at a constant 75 mph. It could be because i was going slightly downhill in the carolinas on 81 and 75 but i do recall there being hills.
